Rob has lived and breathed Trekforce for over a decade. Realising the positive effect that challenging and worthwhile project-based expeditions and placements can have, and, captured by the adventurous spirit of Trekforces' founder, Wandy Swales, he started with Trekforce in 1993, when they worked exclusively in Indonesia .
Having completed a Bachelors in Tourism and Planning, he started assisting and then leading within two years on numerous expeditions to SE Asia. He then led expeditions to South America, set up and ran the operations in Central America for over 3 years. He has been involved in several major conservation and scientific research projects andbecame Operations Director in 2001 and took over as Managing Director in 2003.
With such a depth of experience in challenging and worthwhile expeditions, health and safety, expedition logistics, education and conservation projects he set up Trekforce Worldwide in order to encapsulate all of Trekforces' experience and expertise under one roof. He has been involved in extreme expeditions for TV to Belize, Guyana and Borneo as well as the Corporate Social Responsibility projects and charity fundraising challenges in Borneo and the UK.
