Our 4 - 6 week conservation based expeditions are the perfect career or summer break. You will complete a valuable project and go trekking in some of the most remote areas of the world. You will obtain a fresh outlook on life and really challenge yourself whilst doing something worthwhile.

You may just be the adventurous type looking to combine travel with a purpose - look no further! A ‘gap year’ is open to anyone at whichever stage of their life. A Trekforce expedition can give you a real adventure whilst really benefitting local communities and the environment.

All of our 4-6 week expeditions leave in the summer, but we also have longer expeditions and teaching placements leaving in the spring each year, and our extreme treks leave throughout the year.

Belize & Guatemala, Central America

A tiny jewel of a country, BELIZE is a melting pot of incredible contrasts; a mix of traditional Mayan peoples and vibrant Caribbean culture, unexplored remote jungle and deserted beaches, and some of the most awe inspiring rainforest treks on the planet. GUATEMALA is home to vast lowland tropical forests, wetlands and Mayan ruins, with vast volcanoes rising from coastal plains.

Sarawak, Borneo

The East Malaysian state of SARAWAK IN BORNEO is an incredibly special place harbouring some of the most endangered species of wildlife in the small remaining pockets of primary rainforest. Trekforce have been leading expeditions in Sarawak, and neighbouring Sabah, for over 6 years. An adventurer's paradise with intricate cave systems and unexplored areas of jungle.

Guyana, South America

Part of the Amazon basin, GUYANA remains largely untouched by the development that has affected many surrounding regions. A single lake holds more species of fish than can be found in all of Europe, and some scientists believe 50% of all living species can be found in the Amazon canopy alone! Your expedition takes you into the heart of this wilderness.

Papua New Guinea, South Pacific

Located in the South Western Pacific Ocean, PAPUA NEW GUINEA is one of the most diverse countries on Earth with over 850 indigenous languages and an equivalent number of indigenous societies. This is the perfect opportunity to complete a worthwhile conservation expedition as part of a round the world trip to Australia or direct from Australia itself.
