Belize is notable as having the second longest barrier reef in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. There are hundreds of cayes (islands) off the coast of Belize in the warm waters of the Carribean Sea, each with their own character and charm.

The Blue Hole in Belize

In and around Caye Caulker are such sites as Shark Ray Alley, Hol Chan Marine Reserve, not to mention further afield the world heritage sites of Half Moon Caye, and the famous Blue Hole, sinking to 400ft. Sightings of rays, nurse sharks, turtle and Moray eels are common.

The opportunities for exploring Belize's cayes and diving the various sites are endless, but our dive course in Belize provides a good introduction to this fantastic coastline.

The PADI Open Water diving course runs locally to Caye Caulker, starting in the calm, clear waters behind the reef, and progressing into deeper depths of 50ft in the reef itself.

The PADI Advanced Open Water diving course runs further afield to the more notable destinations that require higher qualifications, such as St George's Caye Wall.
