Caye Caulker (pronounced 'Key Corker') in Belize is a popular island to visit and is has a very caribbean feel. It is a great stepping stone to explore the reef and other dive sites in the area, plus other activities such as kayaking, sailing, snorkelling or sun bathing!

It is linked to the mainland via a regular water taxi from Belize City which takes only 40 minutes. Caye Caulker has a full range of amenities, such as a bank, supermarkets and internet access, and an array of restaurants and bars for you to experience the full flavours of the Caribbean.

Caye Caulker, Belize

There are no cars on Caye Caulker, so the locals get around on golf carts! There is an overwhelming relaxing feel to the island, so say good by to your shoes as you will wander bare foot around the sandy streets. The island was split in two during a hurricane in the 1960's cutting off the northern part, which remains largely undeveloped to this day. The 50m wide channel in between is affectionately known as "The Split" and is a focal point to the island for swimming and relaxing in a hammock at the "Lazy Lizard".
