Jungle training is an 8 day intensive course which is included at the start of every jungle based Trekforce Worldwide Expedition. No prior experience is required to take part in a Trekforce expedition, as the course covers vital instruction that will equip volunteers with the knowledge and skills to operate safely and confidently in a jungle environment.
Our unique jungle training lessons are an essential part of our expedition programmes, and are what sets Trekforce Worldwide aside from other organisations. Jungle training ensures all of our volunteers have the ability to cope with living and working in remote rainforest locations, so we are more able to effectively carry out our project work.
Lessons are given by our experienced, knowledgeable and professional leaders and medics, local guides, in-country staff and are supported by the British Army and local defense forces.
The jungle lessons given in jungle training cover a wide range of skills and knowledge, all designed to help volunteers to manage eventualities for themselves and others around them in the jungle environment. Jungle training includes detailed lessons on such topics as:
Other training courses appropriate for other environments can be organised with TFW consultants.
