How long is a Gap Year?

The usual gap year for school leavers in between A-levels and Higher education is about 15 months, which isn't even a year in itself, so the length of your gap year could be longer or shorter. Some examples of durations include:

• Between school and HE - 3 months
• Deferred entry to HE - 15months
  
• HE holidays - 3-4 months
• After HE - as long as you want!
• During/after job - as long as you want!

Trekforce have programmes that run from 4 to 6 weeks up to 2, 3 and 5 months in length, so the duration of your break shouldn't get in the way of being able to do something amazing!

With a longer gap year of 15 months, you are well placed to be able to do a variety of things, not least fundraising for an expedition or earning money for travelling or university.
