Trekforce Worldwide Expeditions have planted over 250,000 trees, completed over 200 separate projects and have been working consistently for over 15 years in support of NGOs, government organisations, wildlife and forestry departments to conserve and restore the rainforests of Central and South America and South East Asia. Our enthusiastic workforces have completed some of the toughest expeditions in some of the most remote jungle locations in the world.
Most importantly for Trekforce, the projects are dictated by our partners to ensure that we are contributing to where it is most needed.
Our projects for 2008 in Belize will be based in the Chiquibul National Park, as part of our partnership with Friends for Conservation and Development. The projects are intimately linke to the ethos of Trekforce, remote, challenging and vital in the wider conservation effort. The projects are inherently different, one being mobile, the other static.
One group will be clearing the northern boundary of the national park, and a second group will be constructing an observation post in the south of the park. These projects are part of the long-term management plan for the Chiquibul area that Trekforce is involved in.

Expeditions last from 4 weeks to 5 months and include volunteer work on projects including carrying out research work, building up the infrastructure of national parks and constructing research and visitor centres. Our projects have received the support of UNDP, DFID, Fauna and Flora International and many other high-profile organisations.
These exciting team-based projects can be taken as part of longer programmes including learning Spanish in Guatemala and teaching in remote schools.
